GOAL: Ensure that all qualifying new employees are offered the option to sign-up for benefits.
- Benefits include:
- Health & Vision Insurance – State of Tennessee
- Dental Insurance – Delta Dental
- Life Insurance – Horace Mann (certified staff)
- Life Insurance – USAble (non-certified staff)
- Voluntary Short- & Long-Term Disability – USAble (certified & non-certified staff)
- Voluntary Group Life and AD&D – USAble (non-certified staff)
- Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS)
- Current employees can only make changes to their benefits during Open Enrollment, held yearly during the month of October, unless they meet a qualifying event. Any changes made during Open Enrollment go into effect the 1st of January the following year.
- Only Voluntary benefits can be dropped anytime during the year.
No benefits can be picked up during the year except during Open Enrollment, or if a qualifying event is met.
