Hello!

My name is Elizabeth Carroll, and I am excited to share a little about myself! I am beginning my 16th year in education and currently serve as the District K–6 Reading Coach for Scott County Schools. Before becoming a literacy coach, I spent 14 wonderful years teaching at Robbins Elementary School, where I developed a passion for helping students become confident readers and writers.

My husband, Michael, is also an educator, so education is truly a family affair. We have three amazing children who keep life busy! My oldest son is part of the Scott High Highlanders football coaching staff, my youngest son plays Highlanders middle school football, Hawks basketball, and Hawks soccer, and my daughter is a Division I student-athlete as a member of the Code Red Dance Team at Ball State University. When I am not working, you will usually find me at a game, planning vacations as a travel advisor, or spending time with family and friends.

Mission Statement

As the District K–6 Reading Coach, my mission is to support teachers and students by promoting evidence-based literacy instruction grounded in the Science of Reading and aligned with the Tennessee ELA Standards. Through collaboration, coaching, and meaningful professional learning, I strive to equip educators with the knowledge and confidence to help every student become successful lifelong readers and writers. I believe that when we invest in teachers, we create lasting opportunities for students to thrive.
