ESL Program

Mission
The mission of the Scott County School System is to provide individualized language instruction in the areas of speaking, reading, writing, and listening while fostering the development of academic vocabulary and language skills. Through targeted support and instruction, we strive to empower all English Learner (EL) students to achieve educational and social success.

ESL Policies
All Scott County ESL policies are developed and implemented in accordance with the Tennessee State Board of Education ESL Rule, Chapter 0520-01-19. These policies are designed to ensure that EL students receive equitable access to appropriate language instruction and educational opportunities.
