We in the Scott County Band Program are happy to welcome Mr. Brandon Wright as the new middle school band director for Huntsville and Fairview schools. He is an alumnus of the University of Tennesse-Knoxville, where he was a member of the Pride of the Southland, the Tennessee Trumpet Ensemble, UT Symphonic Band, and Concert Band.
Mr. Wright has been a private brass instructor for students at Powell MS, Anderson County HS, Lake City MS, and Lakeway Christian Academy. For the past three years, he was at Sunbright School, teaching elementary music, middle school band, and leading both the high school marching band and concert band.
Mr. Wright says, "My goal is to fill my teaching toolbox closer to home and to provide a well-rounded musical experience to the students in front of me, as I have watched music education change lives all my life (including myself!). What better way than to surround myself with you the community and the experienced directors here! I am beyond excited to be here in Scott County!"
