The Scott High wrestling team recently unveiled their legacy wall. This wall was a joint effort of the school’s construction technology class and Ooten Masonry. Students enrolled in Scott High’s construction technology class worked hand in hand with Allen Ooten and his crew of masonry workers to create what is believed to be the first ever legacy wall in the school’s nearly sixty-year history.

The wall is constructed of brick and engraved pavers. Each engraved paver displays past wrestlers and their accomplishments while participating in the wrestling program. The program already boasts a District Championship as well as several sectional (sub state) qualifiers. Along with these accomplishments, several SHS wrestlers have competed for region championships.

Other accomplishments are multiple 20 + win seasons and a region coach of the year award. Looking forward, Scott Wrestling will be able to add graduating seniors and their accolades to the wall each year as well as any team accomplishments.

Scott High begins its fourth season on Nov. 17th, 2026, when it hosts Christian Academy of Knoxville and York Institute. This event will take place in Highlander Gymnasium.
