Voluntary Pre-k Program

PreSchool Clip ArtThe goal of every Tennessee Pre-K classroom is to provide three and four-year-old children, with an emphasis on four-year-olds who are at-risk, an opportunity to develop school readiness skills (pre-academic and social skills) with the learning experiences they need in order to succeed in kindergarten.

The Tennessee Voluntary Pre-K Program will prepare children for school by providing an opportunity for them to develop school readiness skills in an environment that fosters the love and joy of learning.

Each elementary school within the Scott County system offer Pre-K programs. These programs are contingent upon grant funding as well as required admission guidelines.
